AROUND 85 participants set of on their bikes on Saturday morning to raise funds for a great cause.
The Fenit Lifeboat Cycle was another success and after last year’s awful weather conditions, the gods smiled down on the cyclists this time as they set off in the sun from O’Donnell’s in Mounthawk.
The cycle has been going since 2008 and is one of Fenit Lifeboat’s three major annual fundraising events, along with a flag day and the Christmas Day Swim.
The cycle went through Farranfore, Castleisland then back to O’Donnells, where cyclistsejoyed some well-earned refreshments.
