A READER sent us in these photos (below) from yesterday of what greeted her and her family on a trip to Banna yesterday.
Broken up furniture and rubbish littered the path near the sand dunes.
“Myself and my family went out to ‘Banna 3’ today for a walk in the beautiful sunshine and the view that greeted us was awful,” said the reader in an email to us last night.
“It looks like someone emptied a trailer load of rubbish just by the path up the sand dune. It’s disgraceful. I don’t know how these people can sleep at night I don’t know if anything can be done or if the Gardaí would have any hope of tracking these people down but surely this is not the view we want tourists to see when they come to this amazing beach,” she continued.
She wanted us to publish these photos so someone might recognise the items and these people might be caught.
This was raised yesterday morning at kerry county council. The items provided a unique obstacle course for all attending bootcamp Saturday morning! Hopefully it will be addressed immediately.
