THERE was great fun last night as Churchill GAA staged its first ‘Lip Sing Battle’ at the Ballyroe Heights Hotel.

A crowd of around 500 people watched on as the contestants took on a number of different guises under the expert tutelage of Jackie O’Mahoney with Sinead Cotter as MC for the occasion.

The four judges — Fr Eamon Mulvihill, Michael Healy Rae, Declan Parker and Catriona O’Sullivan — had a tough task in deciding the winner but in the end they went for John Murray.

The public had a different take and the Spice Boys — Padraig Ryan, Cillian O’Shea, Barry Carmody and Stephen Bulman — won the popular vote. Scroll down for photos (we’ll have more tomorrow)
