THE blue side of town gathered in the Fels Point Hotel on Saturday night for the annual Kerins O’Rahillys GAA club social.
While the senior side didn’t have a great year, there was still a lot to reflect on, including a first U21 county championship success.
“We are very proud of the young men who won it and we’re delighted to be here tonight to mark the occasion,” said club Chairman Frank O’Connor, on the U21 win.

“Next Wednesday night we’re providing the captain of the Kerry U21’s, Jack Savage against Tippeary and that’s a great honour for the club and the young man himself,” he added.
There were awards handed out on the night including Senior Player of the Year for Con Barrett, Young Player of The Year to Jack Savage and Most Improved Player of The Year for Diarmuid O’Sullivan.
“Hopefully all goes well for this year. We have good players and if things fall into place we would hope to be serious challengers this year in all competitions,” said Frank O’Connor.
