WITH the Kerry Rose selection night getting closer, some of this year’s entrants gathered on Friday night at The Meadowlands Hotel.
This year’s Kerry Rose selection takes place on Saturday, June 4 at Siamsa Tíre and they got to know each other last night at an introductory information session.
“We had a really lovely introduction to the Rose Entrants tonight, with some quite nervous, shy faces coming in, and happy, relaxed, laughing faces on the way out,” said Kerry Rose Centre Co-ordinator, Suzan O’Gara.

“They were introduced to the Kerry Rose Team and to 2019 Kerry Rose Sally Ann Leahy. The women from all over Kerry are already planning a trip to Punchestown races next weekend and seem to be gelling as a group straight away.
“They are in for a fantastic experience and we’re all really looking forward to the weeks ahead, in the lead up to big Selection Night when the 2022 Kerry Rose will be announced,” said Suzan.
The first official event is on May 6 at Kingdom Greyhound stadium, followed by Kingdom County Fair on Sunday, May 8, the Kerry Rose Tour on May 14 and the Kerry Rose Selection in Siamsa Tíre on June 4. Scroll down for photos…
