A FRESH morning in the Town Park provided ideal conditions for a healthy and enjoyable fundraiser involving Moyderwell Mercy Primary School pupils.
The ‘Jingle Bell Jog’ saw excited pupils, with many donning Santa hats and Christmas jumpers, do a circuit of the Park.
“The Jingle Bell Jog is a festive activity for Christmas time but it’s also part of our Active Schools Programme,” said Principal of Moyderwell Mercy, Moira Quinlan.
“Every class is involved and we’re delighted to avail of the wonderful facility of the Town Park to do one circuit, which is just over a mile. Parents are here too to join in and it’s a lovely way to begin the festive season.

We’re also using the day as a fundraiser in conjunction with the Radio Kerry Christmas Jumper Day for St Vincent de Paul, which was last Friday, but we decided to do it today,” said Moira.
There was a great atmosphere with music playing and Santa making an appearance. There was a medal for each participant which really went down well with the kids. Scroll down for photos…
