A STANDING ovation hailed an amazing performance from the students of Presentation Secondary School on Thursday night.
After months of rehearsals, it was time for them to put on ‘Showtime – A Musical Extravaganza’ at Siamsa Tíre and with a mix of old favourites and modern classics, the show went down a treat.
Primary school children from around the town enjoyed a matinee show early on Thursday while families gathered in the evening for the sold-out show.

Musical numbers from Legally Blonde, The Sound of Music, Oklahoma, Miss Saigon, Footloose, West Side Story and Waitress were belted out by the talented troupe while there were also songs from School of Rock and The Greatest Showman.
Well done to director Oliver Hurley, musical director Laura Crowley and choreographer Honor Hurley for their hard work while the students did themselves and their school proud. There’s about 10 tickets left for Friday’s show so to book online, click here.
