THE weather stayed dry last night for Recovery Haven Kerry’s annual Celebration of Light ceremony at Tralee Bay Wetlands.

Run in association with the Rose of Tralee Festival, the poignant event unites those touched by cancer and it remembers those we have lost.

The evening was MC’d by Sean Lyons and featured a performance from the Kerry Choral Union. It also included prayers and readings from a number of special guests, including the reigning Rose of Tralee Sinead Flanagan, Recovery Haven Kerry founder, Marian Barnes and long-time Recovery Haven supporter, Cathal Walshe.

A number of this year’s Rose of Tralee contestants and escorts also attended with Rose Festival CEO, Anthony O’Gara and the current Rose of Tralee Sinead Flanagan.

The emotional release of candles and stones formed part of the celebration with members of Banna Sea Rescue making sure the candles floated out on the water. Scroll down for photos…
