THANKFULLY, the weather held on Saturday night so the masses could enjoy one of the highlights of the Rose of Tralee/Féile Thrá Lí festival week.

There was a sizeable crowd present for the Rose parade which made its way from John Joe Sheehy Road arriving at Castle Street just after 9pm.

DJ Chris Shortt, stationed at the bottom of Denny Street, kept the crowd entertained as they waited patiently for the bands and floats, while Brian Hurley was at the top of the street welcoming the Roses to the stage.

The evening culminated with a spectacular fireworks display which signalled the festival fun has truly begun! Scroll down for photos…
