THIS week, schools across the nation are getting involved in Science Week and Scoil Eoin pupils put their skills into practice showing off science experiments to fellow pupils, teachers and parents.
This year marks 20 years of Science Week, a national, annual event that celebrates the fascinating worlds of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
“It’s a fun filled week where they get to do a bit of messing and experimenting in the class” said Scoil Eoin teacher, Eileen Griffin.

The children prepared their experiments all week in their classrooms, every pupil got a chance to display their experiments.
The theme of this year’s Science Week was ‘2.0 ‘Design Your Future’. Classes from the second to sixth, took part in a poster competition, based on the theme. The prizes for the competition were sponsored by parents association.
Younger children, designed bookmarks and took part in a colouring competition where there were also prizes.
