OVER the last two days, schools around Tralee have been taking part in Proclamation Day.
Tuesday was the official day for the patriotic celebration of the Irish Proclamation of Independance but many schools had theirs the following day.
Thankfully the sun was shining for the most part, so teachers, pupils and parents could enjoy the events outside.
Schools chose different ways to honour the men and women of 1916 with the raising of the tricolour being a staple of every event.
It was a day when every school in the country was invited to share the results of their Proclamation for a New Generation. (scroll down for photos)
