RECOVERY Haven hosted a special event at their centre in Haigs Terrace on Sunday as an appreciation of the work done by volunteers for the organisation.
A number of volunteers, as well as family members of volunteers who have passed on, were present for refreshments with Recovery Haven Patron Don O’Neill also in attendance.
“It’s National Volunteering Week and we’re back in our new building after renovations so we’re acknowledging some of our volunteers who have passed on and welcoming our new volunteers who have joined us,” said Siobhan MacSweeney of Recovery Haven.
A tree was also planted on the grounds as a tribute to those volunteers who have passed on. It was a chance for Recovery Haven to give a nod to the past while looking forward to the future. Scroll down for photos…
