IT was a fine morning for a brisk stroll as the Kerry Hospice Foundation held their annual Good Friday Walks around the county.
A total of 21 walks took place in Kerry with the event proving a huge fundraiser for the Foundation, raising over €50,000 in the last number of years.
In Tralee, participants set off in the sunshine at 10am from The Grand Hotel on the Ted Moynihan Memorial Walk, before returning for well-earned refreshments at the hotel.

The Jerry and Mary O’Sullivan Memorial Walk, organised by the Spa/Fenit Branch of the Kerry Hospice, took off from The Tankard at 10am and was also very well attended. Well done to all involved.
All funds will help fund the Palliatve Care Services and Units. The KHF is funding two advanced Nurse Practitioners for the next five years and will continue to fund the Specialist Palliative Care services and its needs.
The hope is to provide funds for a five bed extension to the current facility in the coming years. Scroll down for photos…
