HUNDREDS of young GAA fans were put through their paces at Cúl Camps around the county during the week.
In Tralee there were four clubs holding camps — Austin Stacks, Kerins O’Rahillys, John Mitchels and Na Gaeil — which no doubt hosted Kerry stars of the future.
John Mitchels had just over 50 at their camp at their Ballyseedy headquarters.
“It’s been great fun with a great crowd of youngsters going through the skills,” said coach, Tom Joy from Ballybunion.
Over in Na Gaeil they had 90 boys and girls learning skills.

“I think we’re up 30 or 40 from last year,” said Thomas Ladden of Keel GAA, head coach for the week. “It’s great because they are obviously promoting it in the club. There were some kids who weren’t so sure at the start of the week but they stayed all week and everyone’s having a great time.The weather has been kind too,” he said.
