THE weather actually stayed dry and the was a good crowd of well-wishers at Manor West Retail Park on Friday evening to welcome cycling legend Seán Kelly and over 100 amateur cyclists to Tralee on the second day of the 600km Tour de Munster charity cycle.

This was the third year that Manor West has hosted the tour in Tralee and there was a family day laid on to celebrate the arrival.

The Down Syndrome Ireland Kerry branch planned a range of fun activities for the afternoon including zumba dancing, face painting, balloon modelling. The cyclists sailed in and enjoyed well deserved coffee/tea/water and sandwiches.

The cyclists were staying at The Rose Hotel and left for the next stage at 9am on Saturday morning.

The Tour de Munster charity cycle is raising vital funds and awareness for the Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI) and individual beneficiaries. Over the past nine years, the Kerry branch of DSI has benefited greatly from the funds raised as a result of the Tour de Munster charity cycle.
