THERE were great celebrations on Coláiste Íde on Friday, as the school community marked the end of another successful academic year.
The evening commenced with an end of year Mass celebrated by an tAthair Ó Beaglaíoch, followed be an awards ceremony, where the various and many talents of the students were acknowledged.
Awards presented included: Irish speakers of the year and month, student work ethic, student attendance, Music including Piano, Voice, traditional and classical music awards and various sporting and wellbeing achievements.

The Irish Committee were also commended for achieving their fourth Gaelbhratach from Conradh na Gaeilge, from Gael Linn recently.
Also on the evening, the 5th year students were awarded Bronze medals for their participation in the Presidential Gaisce Awards, with certificates from UCD Confucius centre for completing their Chinese Language and Culture Course. Certificates in HACCP, First Aid and Media courses were also presented to the 5th year students.
Student of the year award was won by Anne Ní Chathasaigh, a 6th year student form Co. Cork, for her good example, exemplary behaviour and outstanding support to all students and staff throughout her five years in Coláiste Íde.
This was presented by Áine Ní Chearbhaill, Principal. The annual boarding award was presented by Siobhan Ní Chathalláin, Deputy Manager, to 6th year student Keeva Ní Chathail, from Dublin, for her continuous cooperation to all the boarding staff. Scroll down for photos…
