Daniel's Dreams cheque Presentation

STUDENTS from Presentation Secondary School  went above and beyond themselves as they raised over €750 to help out one young boy in his battle against a debilitating disease.

Daniel Collins is four years old and suffers from severe medical difficulties such as Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalous which have a massive impact on his feeding, mobility and speech.

His sister, Alanna Collins, is a second year student in the school and along with her fellow students and teacher Alan O’Sullivan, decided to set up a fundraising campaign to try and raise funds for the expensive costs of his medical care and equipment.

The students undertook this fundraiser as part of their C.S.P.E. program.

Two hampers, which were donated by Sam McCauley Chemists and Beautician Mary O’ Donnell,  each valued at €50, were raffled off by the students. They also raffled off a luxury Easter Egg as well as organising a bake sale in the school also.

They recently presented the cheque for their efforts to the parents of four year old Daniel at the school.
