REA house price increases nationally

THE cost of buying a house in Kerry has risen by 3.11% in the last three months.

That’s according to a national survey carried out by REA Average House Price Survey which since the beginning of the year.

The survey also found that new houses on the market are being sold at a faster rate.

It now takes on average five weeks to sell a house in Kerry, the amount of weeks it took last year was eight.

The average price of a three-bed semi in Kerry is €182,500. Nationally the average for a three-bed semi is €191,194, a rise of €2,824 (1.5%) on the figure to the end of December.

REA found that a lack of supply of suitable housing is the paramount issue nationwide, and while we have had rises in many areas, they are primarily driven by buyer competition for low supply.
