The Chair of the Steering Committee and General Manager of Kerry Mental Health Association, John Drummey, said: “There’s something for everyone during this year’s programme of events from laughter yoga to cyberbullying workshops or from sound bathing to walks, hikes and water activities.”

“Our key focus is on creating awareness of, and scheduling events that empower people to engage with the Five Ways to Wellbeing – Connect | Be Active | Take Notice | Keep Learning | Give. In doing so, we are encouraging people in our communities throughout Kerry to take time to learn, talk, reflect and engage with others around the topic of mental health and wellbeing. We are committed to raising awareness of the available mental health and wellbeing supports and services in the county.”

All events are free, registration is essential and simple. It can be done by visiting the website at www.KerryMentalHealthAndWellbeingFest.com.

The organising committee is a collaboration between Connecting for Life Kerry, Healthy Kerry, Kerry County Council, Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership, the HSE, NEWKD, SKDP, Kerry Mental Health Association, Jigsaw Kerry, Munster Technological University/Kerry, KDYS, Kerry Volunteer Centre and Family Resource Centres throughout the county.

Everyone on the committee would like to thank the event organisers and facilitators for giving their time to produce such a wide-ranging programme of activities and events.
