THE doctor who has been accused of raping a woman at the Bon Secours Hospital in Tralee, has left the country, according to a report in the Irish Independent.
Gardaí in Tralee are investigating the allegation that a 61 year old woman was raped earlier this month and are appealing to anyone who has any information that could be of help to come forward.
It is alleged the doctor raped the woman when she was changing into her clothes after having a scan. The doctor – who is from abroad and has denied the allegation – was employed on a temporary basis by the hospital.
Gardaí have taken statements and examined CCTV footage from the hospital. A file is to be sent to the DPP.
Is there a protest march about this? A suspect allowed flee? A match to support the victim.
