THE new Kerry senior football manager will be put forward for ratification at the next meeting of the County Board on Monday, October 8.
Meanwhile, the Irish Independent is reporting that Maurice Fitzgerald is the new front runner for the job, followed by Jack O’Connor and Peter Keane.
The article by Colm Keys asserts that no decision has yet been made and that O’Connor and Keane have both been interviewed for the position. Meanwhile on the domestic scene, the admission prices for the Kerry SFC quarter-finals this weekend have been revealed.
On Saturday, Austin Stacks versus Dingle at 6pm and Kerins O’Rahillys versus St Brendan’s at 7.45pm, both in Austin Stack Park.
Then on Sunday in Killarney at 2pm it’s Killarney Legion versus Dr Crokes and that’s followed at 3.45pm by East Kerry versus South Kerry.
Admission is €13, €10 for students & Senior Citizens and admission is free for U16s. The match programme will be on sale for €2. The Semi-Finals are fixed for the weekend of October 13th/14th and the County Final will be played on Sunday October 28th.
The Senior Football Club Championship Relegation Play-Off game between Kenmare Shamrocks and An Ghaeltacht is fixed for Saturday at 3.30pm in the JP O’Sullivan Park, Killorglin. Extra time will be played if necessary.
