IF one Kerryman wasn’t enough to interview the Roses in the Dome, the organisers of the Rose of Tralee International Festival have booked another one to host the first Dome event of 2018 – A Celebration of Roses on Thursday, August 16.
Well-known broadcaster and Tralee-native, Brian Hurley, has his tuxedo pressed and bow-tie starched in preparation for a huge undertaking when he will interview all 57 Roses on stage.
Brian, who is known best from his work with Radio Kerry and Irish TV over the years, said: “I have had a connection with the Rose of Tralee since I was a teenager when I was as a volunteer. It makes me very proud to be given the opportunity, as a Tralee-man, to host a night in the famous Festival Dome. A Celebration of Roses is a unique event, especially for the Roses and their families as it will be the first and only opportunity for 25 of the Roses to experience the Dome atmosphere from the stage. I am really looking forward to facilitating what will be an entertaining night for the Roses, their families and friends, the Rose Escorts and the general public who are all welcome to attend a great show in Kerry’s Capital.”
