ROXY the talking Shih Tzu, will represent Kerry in the upcoming ‘The Nose of Tralee’ national pet competition.
The ‘Nose of Tralee’ is an online competition being run by ‘Pet Sitters Ireland’, so Roxy and her owner, Maria O’Carroll will need your votes to fire Kerry to glory once again in a national arena.
This Tralee pooch isn’t any ordinary dog; she can talk! Well, say one word anyway. Roxy says ‘Mama’ to Maria O’Carroll when begging for chicken, her favourite munch.
“She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” said proud owner Maria, who is hoping everyone gets behind Roxy’s bid.

Roxy is also an Irish Therapy Dog who visits a care home once a week in effort to brighten up the day for some of the residents. She received the news that she would be competing in the final this week along with her special sash for the occasion
Maria is originally from Asdee, but has been living in Tralee for the last 14 years.
The winner and runner up of the ‘Nose of Tralee’ will be announced on August 19 which is the final night of the Rose Of Tralee selection.
