THE site which was recently described as an ‘eyesore’ on the way into Tralee town has been put on the market with a €250,000 asking price.
The 0.7 acre gateway site is located on the main entrance road to Tralee opposite Austin Stack Park.
According to agents, Sherry Fitzgerald Stephenson Crean, there is a derelict cottage located on the site which offers an ideal opportunity to renovate and attain a substantial rent. The site is zoned town centre, ideal for both residential and commercial purposes.

Just last month, the issue of the vacant piece of land was brought up at the meeting of Tralee Municipal District, with one Cllr Terry O’Brien describing it as ‘awful’ and a ‘terrible eyesore’ in its current state.
Cllr Toireasa Ferris also brought up the issue two years ago when she proposed a motion at a meeting of Tralee Municipal District that an outdoor GAA museum be created on the land and on the wall of Austin Stack Park where there would be a ‘Wall of Fame’ with plaques and memorials.
The site would be a great for a drive thru business.
There is population growth again as the area across the road has been recently redevelopment.
So, there is a great business opportunity.
