Locals can expect to find gems such as limited edition releases, the newly-launched ‘Golden Discs presents…’ vinyl compilation series, and headphones and speakers to suit all budgets.

Golden Discs reported a solid year in 2018 with turnover of €13.2 million, driven in part by continued growth in vinyl sales. 2019 is shaping up similarly with four new store openings, bringing the total number of Golden Discs stores nationwide to 21 with a total of 120 employees.

The online store is equally successful, showing strong sales along the 15,000 lines of product with particular emphasis on back-catalogue product and vinyl sales.

CEO Stephen Fitzgerald says, “We feel our first store in Kerry is long overdue and we’re delighted to make it a reality in 2019. The vinyl renaissance is driving our expansion at present and our new Tralee store will reflect this with a large vinyl section.”

Golden Discs are very much looking forward to greeting their first customers in Central Plaza next Saturday and to celebrate they will have special opening weekend offers and discounts.
