A SPA restaurant was a winner at the inaugural Irish Hospitality Awards 2017 held on Sunday night in Dublin.
Spa Seafoods was a winner in the Best Restaurant in Southwest category at the awards at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin Airport.
A number of other Tralee businesses were nominated in various categories, including Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre, Bella Bia, Bailys Corner, Kirby’s Brogue Inn, Denton B&B, Rosemont B&B and Castlemorris House.

Thousands of nominations were received from the Irish public over the past months
Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre was nominated for ‘Best Day Out’. Kirby’s Brogue Inn and Baily’s Corner were nominated in the Best Pub/Inn category, Bella Bia and Spa Seafoods were up for the Best Restaurant, Denton B&B, Rosemont B&B and Castlemorris House were in the Bed & Breakfast category.
There were other Kerry winners. Parknasilla Spa and Resort in Sneem was named Hotel of the Year 2017 at the awards ceremony. Kate Kearney’s Cottage was named Pub of the Year for the southwest region. Ashfield Bed and Breakfast of Kenmare won the Best B&B award for the southwest.
