WITHOUT any prior announcement, Spin South West have opened a new studio on Castle Street that will broadcast four live shows a week from Tralee, to start with.
The new studio was up and running today at 2:45pm with ‘Spin Hits’ presented by DJ Eoghain Fitzgerald.
He says; “It’s something that we kept a big secret for a long time so it was hard not to tell people!” “Spin is massive in Kerry, it’s one of our biggest listenerships, so to have a studio down here is just amazing,” he said.

This is the first time Spin South West have opened a studio outside of their base of Raheen in Limerick City.
The premises across from Bank of Ireland on Castle Street will also contain offices for advertising staff.
The studio has not created any new jobs. For now, existing staff will run the new offices, but the station does intend to create more jobs in the future. Spin South West broadcasts across Kerry, Limerick, Clare, North Tipperary & South West Laois.
The station caters for a young audience with an emphasis on playing current pop hits.
