Healthy Club Event

We had fantastic representation from St Pats GAA club, community and beyond for our finale 5K run on Saturday Morning last.

The St Pats Healthy Clubs committee was delighted to run this 10-week Couch to 5K initiative with the expert help of Michelle Greaney.

Thank you for your time and encouragement Michelle! We are delighted to have so many enjoying running and getting fitter despite the winter weather!! Many of you are now hoping to continue that fitness with weekly running meet ups.

Thanks so much to Tralee Park Run for welcoming us to this fantastic free event. Many of us were first timers & are delighted to have this facility to keep us motivated!

The rain didn’t stop the running enthusiasm but unfortunately curtailed the saturated runners going for well- earned treats afterwards!

After the hot showers you should all be very proud of yourselves and hopefully inspired to continue healthy habits whatever the weather!! We looked forward to our Healthy clubs Operation Transformation walking series in January. All welcome!

Derryquay Fundraiser

We are doing a clothes collection for SVDP, if anyone is doing a wardrobe clearance before Nov 30th, we will be delighted to take any preloved items. Contact Irene to arrange collection 0871233254. Thank you for the community’s continued support for our school.

Rosary at Rath

Please be aware that this year Rosary at Rath will take place at 3pm on Tuesday Afternoons not Tuesday Nights when it normally took place.

Seniors

On Sunday last, we played the quarter final of the Tralee/St Brendan’s at John Mitchells GAA grounds, with cold conditions Ballymac led scoring with two points, Conor Enright put two of his own points on the board. Two more points were added by the opposition with Fergal O Brien getting one for us. Ballymac got a point, but David O Callaghan and Fergal O Brien added a point each, two more points from Ballymac. Fergal O Brien was last score in this half with Ballymac adding one last point before the half finished. St Pats 0-06 Ballymac 1-07

Four unanswered points from Ballymac at the beginning of this half, Liam O Sullivan broke this momentum with a point of his own. With 2 goals and four more points added with great opposition from St Pats players, Ballymac pulled away. David O Callaghan got a point, Ballymac added another three points. The last scores came from us with points from David O Callaghan, Shane Jordan and Darragh Moriarty. The game finished St Pats 0-11 to Ballymac 3-18
