Cúl Camp

St Pats hosted another successful Cúl Camp this past week, the weather was not always favourable but that didn’t stop the kids having a fantastic week with their friends! Well done everyone who made this camp a memorable one for the kids!

Juvenile Academy

U5

Well done to the under 5 boys and girls who braved the weather for football training on the astroturf on Sunday! We dodged a few showers and practiced our skills running games. Coaches noticed how well both Kya and Finn joined in and listened to the coaches this week… very well done to them for earning our players of the week! Keep up the practice boys and girls. Hopefully, we will see you next Sunday morning before a 2 week break to our Academy.

U7

Well done to the brave souls that togged out on Sunday. Weather was not too bad after all and plenty of football played.

U8 Girls

Well done to all our brave U8 girls on a super effort on Sunday Morning through Sun and rain in the Go Games with Kerins O’Rahillys, we’re very proud of them.!!

Keep encouraging them at home too as it’s great to see them developing every week as their confidence builds. See you all again next week (possibly another game)! To be confirmed!

U9/U10 Girls

We had a great training session on Sunday morning where we had our u10 girls join us. Everyone was so excited ahead of the Kerry v Derry game and showed all their skills. After our fun games we had a brilliant match and for sure we have future Kerry stars.

U11

A large number of our U-11’s players participated in the Kellogg’s Cúl camp last week. There were a lot of tired bodies on Friday, but great fun was had by all, and it was great preparation for our upcoming central league. Training schedule and match fixtures, if received, for the week will be circulated to parents. Naomh Pádraig Abú!!

U12 Girls

The Girls played at home against Castlegregory last Tuesday. It was a tough game, and the girls kept the pressure on from start to finish and were unlucky to lose by a single point.

The girls all played great, and we were very proud of their efforts. Onwards and upwards! Training continues this week with our next game fixed for Tuesday 25th, away to Abbeydorney B’s.

U13

Training continues for the boys this week ahead of our next game away to Castleisland Desmonds next Sunday.

U14 Girls

Training continues for the girls before our next game on Monday 24th at home to Finuge/St. Senan’s and on Thursday 27th we are at home to Castleisland Desmond’s!

Seniors

Our senior had one outstanding match from Tralee Town League, this match took place last Tuesday night in Blennerville against Ardfert. Breandan Savage scored the first point on the board, two points from Ardfert were quickly got.

Adam Hegarty put the ball over the bar to get his own point, Ardfert got two points and a goal to go ahead. With a point each from Breandan Savage and Martin Laucher we narrowed the gap, the opposition added a further two points to their tally.

With time ticking down Conor Enright got a point, but it was a beautiful pass from Cillian Lynch to Adam Hegarty that showed real teamwork with a goal. Breandan Savage added one final point to draw the game and end the first half. St Pats 1-06 Ardfert 1-06

Cillian Lynch added another point within a few minutes of the second half beginning, with Brian Murphy also adding his own point.  With a quick turnaround from Ardfert they put quick use of the ball to add two points to their scoring.

With five points scored unanswered from Martin Laucher, Breandan Savage, Cillian Lynch, Eoin Greaney and Damien Cronin we took the lead. In the 13th minute with Ardfert with the ball in hand heading towards the goals, a quick save form Trevor Farmer stopped it in its tracks.

Ardfert added another point, the excitement of the save was short lived as Ardfert once again had the ball, but this time made sure to rattle the back of the net. Eoin Greaney added one more point to the game before the final whistle blew. St Pats 1-14 Ardfert 2-09

A busy week for our seniors this time it was our senior B’s who were playing in their Round 5 of the Development League against Cordal, the opposition opened the game with a point, and we replied with a point from Adam Hegarty.

Cordal dominated this half with two points and two very quick goals coming. Adam Hegarty put one more point for our scoring, this ended this half of the game. St Pats 0-02 Cordal 2-03

With changes of substitutes for this half and within only a few minutes and in need of any type of a score Jack Lynch dutifully put the ball past the Cordal goalkeeper it brought us within four points, Cordal replied with their own goal and two points which stretched the lead again in their favour.

Adam Hegarty and Liam O Sullivan each got their chance and succeeded with a point each Cordal added one final point, and this finished the game. St Pats 1-04 Cordal 3-06
