Juvenile Academy

U5

Well done to our under 5 players for putting the effort into training this week! We played fun evasion games, practiced ball skills & raced in teams on an obstacle course. Great effort from all ages in our tug of war to finish! Well done to Keanna & Archie for their efforts this week earning them the trophies!

Enjoy your short academy break for the next 2 weekends. don’t forget to cheer on for Kerry next Sunday!

U7/U8 Girls

A great morning for our U7 Boys who were joined by the U8 Girls for some fun mixed Go Games with Na Gaeil at home on Sunday! We had 20 players in total who showed some great skills and most importantly were all enjoying the game with their teammates!

Kerry fever was evident after the match as the kids swapped their red and white for the green and gold to show their support for the Kerry team next weekend! Thanks to Ollie, Rosalie, Paul, Mike, Norma, and Sharon for helping with the teams on Sunday and anyone else who helped out in any way!

U9

Well done to our U9 Boys who trained with the U8 & U10 Girls on Sunday. It was great to see such teamwork in the fun challenge game at the end of the session. Everybody wore their Kerry jerseys to Academy in support of Kerry in the All-Ireland Final next weekend.

Thanks again to our coaches Michèal, Noel & Kieran for their ongoing support every weekend! The Academy is now taking a well-deserved 2-week break and will return on Sunday Aug 13th!

U10 Girls

We had a great day on Sunday as our numbers were small, we joined up with the U9 boys and had an energetic session. The girls were able to compete with their male counterparts and an exciting match concluded the morning!

We also had great excitement and fun after with the jersey day photo shoot, to show our support for Kerry in next week’s all-Ireland!

U11

St Pats U-11’s were back training last Sunday in preparation for our upcoming matches. Bruce, Cian, Fionn, Darragh S and Noah F all put in a great effort.

It’s important all our players continue to attend our training sessions and also keep practicing the skills at home during the week. The fixtures for the central league have been circulated to parents and our training schedule for the week will be forwarded to parents shortly. Naomh Pádraig Abú!!

U12 Girls

Training continued this week ahead of our next game on Tuesday evening away to Abbeydorney at 6.30pm!

U13

Our lads travelled to Castleisland last Sunday morning with a lot of absentees to take on the locals in the Central League. After a horrendous start for us conceding 1-4 in the opening 5 minutes, it was always going to be an uphill battle.

Desmonds were a much more physically imposing side, and they built up a comfortable lead in the first half. The second half saw a notable improvement by our lads, but we failed to take all the chances we created.

We had notable performances from Gearoid in Goals, Charlie who was very good in the full back line in the second half, Hugh who worked his socks off all game and Rylan up front who kicked the majority of our scores. We will train next Tuesday and Thursday with no game on Sunday due to the AIl Ireland final.

We have one remaining game in the group stage vs Castlegregory which is scheduled for Tuesday August 1st in Blennerville at 7pm. We want to wish a speedy recovery to our own Paddy Flynn who picked up a nasty ankle injury last Friday and will be out of action for a number of weeks.

U14 Girls

The U14 Girls have a busy week this week with two matches scheduled, first game on Monday 24th where we will play Finuge/St. Senan’s at home at 7pm followed by Thursday’s game at home against Castleisland Desmond’s also at 7pm!

U15

Our U15s are in action Monday night at 7pm in strand road vs Milltown.

We have a number of players and management involved in the Brendan’s u15 squad who are preparing for championship which begins on Wednesday August 2nd vs Eoghan Rua in Blennerville!

St Brendan’s Minors

St Brendan’s Minors had their first game of the Keane’s SuperValu Minor Football County Championship Group 3 Round 1 against St Kieran’s in Cordal on Monday 17th of July they came away with a win. St Brendan’s Minors Round 2 game they have been given a bye.
