U11

St Pats U-11’s were training last Thursday in preparation for our upcoming matches. James, Cillian, Jace, Darragh M and Oscar all put in a great effort. It’s important all our players continue to attend our training sessions and also keep practicing the skills at home during the week. The fixture for the central league this week is we’re away to St Michael’s Foilmore this Thurs 3rd throw in is 7.30pm hope to see ye all there. Naomh Pádraig Abú!!

U12 Girls

The U12’s had an extremely busy week with plenty of matches taking place, especially for the older girls who play up for the U14’s. The Girls started their week on Tuesday last playing away to Abbeydorney B team, it was a great start to the week as the girls secured a fantastic win, with everyone giving 100%!

Friday evening the team had a challenge match with Annascaul, this was a fantastic opportunity for the coaches to give some of the younger players field time! On a separate note, it was wonderful to see our Juveniles Mary Kate and Kiera O Shea make their debut on up for the match on Saturday night, well done girls!! The U12’s will have a quieter week ahead with no games scheduled, we will train on Thursday evening at 6pm.

U13

The U13’s trained on Tuesday and Thursday this week in preparation for our last group game of the central league at home to Castlegregory on Tuesday Aug 1st at 7pm in Blennerville.

U14 Girls

The U14’s had a hectic week, the first match was on Monday evening at home against Finuge/St. Senan’s, it was a tough match with the opposition dominating the 1st quarter, it was evident the home team were up against a physically stronger team!

That didn’t put off our young girls, they fought for every ball, and everyone put on a fantastic performance. St Pats kept the heads down, making it an exciting game for the spectators! The girls managed to get ahead in the final minutes with a superior goal from Saorlaith Costello, unfortunately the opposition equalised with a point at the final whistle. The girls and coaches still left with a well-deserved point!

The next game was Thursday at home to Castleisland Desmond’s, again taller stronger girls in the away team, meant the home team were at a disadvantage especially in catching the high balls! It was nip and tuck and with the usual St pats spirit the girls never gave up, but the Desmond’s were successful with the win in the end.

It was great to see some of the girls, coaches, and parents in Thurles on Saturday to celebrate the great win by the Kerry ladies. The girls got to meet the players current and Past, a brilliant day. We have no matches this week and will train on Thursday evening only at 6pm.

U15

Our U15s had a great win against Milltown/Castlemaine last Wednesday night.

Conor Sheehan had his best game of the year at corner back. Michael Enright was dominant at midfield, and we welcomed Jack Costello back from injury.
