Registration 2024

Now that some of our teams have resumed training and others will be resuming shortly players and coaches, please register your membership of the Club for 2024. Membership is a vital part of ensuring the club’s continued success and development. Whether you are a player, coach, supporter, parent of a player or member of the wider community we welcome you to register with St. Pat’s.

We ask you this year to register through http://www.stpatsgaaclub.com or on Foireann www.foireann.ie which is available on Apple and Google Play to download.

One of the benefits of registering as a playing member of the GAA or LGFA via the Club is that in the event of an injury sustained playing or training resulting in medical expenses it may be possible to claim a level of refund from the GAA or LGFA Injury Benefit Fund. However, any player seeking to benefit from the Injury Benefit Fund must be a registered member of the GAA or LGFA on Foireann at the time of injury.

The respective Injury Benefit Funds are self-funded entirely from the GAA and LGFA funds with no outside involvement. The Injury Funds are not an insurance scheme. The Injury Funds are set up to assist members with some reimbursement for medical expenses incurred due to an injury sustained playing Gaelic football.

The respective Injury Benefit Funds do not seek to compensate fully for injuries sustained but to supplement other Schemes such as Personal Accident or Health Insurance. The GAA and LGFA Schemes only provide cover for unrecoverable losses up to the limits specified under the respective Schemes. More details can be viewed on https://learning.gaa.ie/InjuryFund orhttps://ladiesgaelic.ie/resources/injury-fund/

We’re Back, St Pats Football Academy took place last Sunday morning and every Sunday Morning in Kerry Sports Academy, MTU North Campus V92HD4V from 11am-12pm. Open to all boys and girls from Under 5 to Under 13. Contact Michael for further information on 086-3855428. Come along any Sunday, All New Members welcome!

U5

Well done to all the boys and girls who were lucky to stay warm and dry in the MTU hall! We had great numbers of 3–5-year-olds again which made for another energetic and noisy session. We introduced some new rolling/ pick up, evasion games and had plenty of fun with chase! Keep working on getting on the floor and all those animal moves to strengthen the core muscles at home.

Very well done to our brother and sister players of the week combo. hey both listened well and joined in all the games despite being a little nervous. Well done Ella and Rían. For all the other boys and girls try not to be disappointed if you haven’t had the trophy yet everyone will get a turn and it’s just a little reward to encourage good listening and participation. Great work team! Thanks coaches Aiden, Conor, and Dianne. See you all next week!

U7

Well done to all our under 7s today and great to see a few new faces also. We had lots of organised chaos today and we even tried to introduce some fun games. It’s great to see the improvement week on week.  Keep practising during the week and the enjoyment levels will increase also. Well done to Theo on only his second week with us but wasn’t afraid to get involved.

U8 Girls

Another great turnout in MTU on Sunday morning, it was great to see a few new faces joining us today. The girls showed great enthusiasm and skill. Our kicking and shooting skills were off the charts Obviously the girls are listening to their coaches and practicing at home. See you all next week girls!

U9

Well done to all the boys who attended training on Sunday morning. The weather didn’t play its part and it turned on us midway through our session, so we finished up early. The boys were all in great spirits despite the conditions and showed great skill in all their drills. Keep up the practice at home and we’ll see them all again next week. We will also be taking part in Tralee Junior Park Run for all who can make it next Sunday morning at 9am.

U10 Girls

Well done everyone on a great session at MTU this morning.!! The girls are improving week on week and are really developing their skills. Well done to Lucy our POTW for great effort. keep up the good work girls and keep up the practising at home.

U11

St Pats U-11’s were training again last Sunday on the Astro in the MTU. Wintery weather conditions made the session very difficult for our young players but fair play to them, they all still put in a mighty effort especially Jack, Noah, Darragh and Rian.  It’s important all our players continue to attend our training sessions and also keep practicing the skills at home during the week. Matches will be starting soon. Training is on again next Sunday 3rd of March from 11am to 12pm in The MTU Astro hope to see ye all there. Naomh Pádraig Abú!!

U12 Girls

We trained on the Astro in MTU last Sunday and the weather went against us shortly after we commenced with rain and a biting cold wind. However, this did not deter the girls from putting in a great effort in testing conditions. We did a fun soloing game to start with and then we worked on our kicking and finished with a small sided game. We train again next Sunday at 11am and hopefully the weather will be kinder to us. Anyone wishing to help out with coaching the U 12 girls, please contact Joe on 0872593800.

U13

Even though there was artic like conditions on last Sunday morning that didn’t stop 20 hardy men from braving the elements and working hard on their skills. We worked on attacking play and on the importance of some players staying out wide. It was a great session and shows great determination. The U13’s are training again this Wednesday at 6pm to 7pm in St Pat’s Astro.
