A great session this morning in brilliant sunshine in the beautiful setting of the Slieve mish mountains we worked on our kicking, transition play, and the girls put the coaches through their paces with a very competitive game of sharks and fishes and a thrilling end to end game of roller ball. Brilliant fun was had by Coaches and players alike. Our player of the week worked really hard and was well deserving of her award.

U13

Churchill 5-9
St Pats 1-10

A lovely sunny evening in Churchill for football this evening as our u13s made the trip. We started the match well taking a quick lead with a well taken point from Noah.

A few quick scores from the hosts quickly the hosts a bit more comfortable but great leadership shown by Rian and Hugh Costello helped us get back into the game with Tommy Costello also rising highest under a high ball for our goal.

Some excellent interceptions from Darragh Flahive and Cillian Enright kept us on the front foot towards the end of the first half and we went into the break still very much in the game.
The tiredness began to creep into our game in the second half, except for Thomas who made it his personal mission to run over every blade of grass on the pitch.

Our backs gave us a good platform for counter attacks with Darragh Murphy and Paddy regularly beating their men to the ball to start the breaks. Ultimately the test was too much for our players who fought bravely throughout.
A performance to be proud of definitely and something to build on in weeks to come.
