Kerry ETB schools are state, co-educational, multi-denominational schools underpinned by the core values and ethos of excellence in education, care, equality, community and respect.

The framework applies to the 3 Community National Schools and 8 Post- Primary Schools in Kerry under the patronage of Kerry ETB., Ann O’Dwyer, Director of Schools Youth and Music at Kerry ETB, said; “This ethos unites our school communities across Kerry, and ensures that we achieve the highest standard of education for all our students in an inclusive environment.

“This framework recognises our shared values and acknowledges the standards of good practice our schools already embody. It also allows us to reflect on areas with potential for improvement or new practices within our school community.”

Kerry ETB’s Ethos Coordinator, Pat O’Sullivan, stated; “This was a great experience for the pupils to come into Kerry ETB Head Office and present to the staff and Board Members. The students presented a clear understanding of the ethos underpinning everyday life in our schools, both inside and outside the classroom and its impact on the broader school community.”
