THE ADAPT shop on Matt Talbot Road will be the venue for a special fundraising fashion show later this month.
Helena Slattery – manager of the shop which raises funds for the ADAPT Kerry Women’s Refuge Centre on the Killeen Road – said she is really looking forward to the event on Friday, November 25 and hopes the community comes to support the centre.
“We’re going to completely transform the shop here for the night to put in seating so people can watch the models on the runway,” said Helena, who is the fundraising co-ordinator for ADAPT.

“All the clothes in the fashion show have been donated to us with the amount of quality fashions here we thought it would be a shame not to do something like this show. The models are people from all walks of life that I’ve asked to take part and some have been involved in fashions shows in the past. So they’ve all pulled together for this and are lending their support,” she said.
The ADAPT shop on Matt Talbot Road has been in operation since June and things are going very well said Helena. “We’re always looking for donations, but we have been overwhelmed with the support we’ve received so far. The people of Tralee have been fantastic,” she said.

All fashions on display will be available to buy after the show. Tickets are €10, there is canapés and a glass of bubbly on arrival and there are some great spot prizes including a weekend away in a hotel, dinner vouchers and much more. Tickets are available to buy at the shop.
