.

WITH the Christmas lights looking resplendent, most of the COVID restrictions now lifted and the public able to shop and dine safely, there’s a wonderful festive atmosphere in town.

That atmosphere is also prevalent throughout two local hotels who are welcoming patrons back through their doors.

The Sea Salt and the Bar and Bistro at Manor West Hotel will be open each day as will Alfies at The Ashe Hotel with its extended terrace and both hotels are beautifully decorated for the festive season.

Menus for festive dining are on offer at both hotels and can be seen on the website and their social media pages but booking in advance is highly recommended.

Also, both hotels have the ideal solution which will offer the gift of happy memories at both properties with their flexible gift card.

This year both hotels are offering a gift voucher which delivers your perfect present solution and can be exchanged for a variety of treats at either property.

Why not enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner in Alfies at the Ashe, vintage afternoon tea with pals or an overnight stay or use your gift card at Manor West Hotel with gym membership, dining in Sea Salt or the Bar & Bistro?

Their Gift Cards give you even more choice and flexibility – the ideal present for a loved one, friend or colleague and you’re also supporting local business.

If you would like to buy a voucher for a different monetary amount to the options available on the hotel website, just call them at The Ashe on 066 710 6300, email info@theashehotel.ie or Manor West on 066-7194500.

The newly named Ashe Hotel on Maine Street which will open next week.

THE old Abbey Gate Hotel is to reopen next week with a new name and a significant refurbishment.

The hotel, which was bought by Boyle Brothers earlier this year, will be called The Ashe Hotel and it is hoped the business will be opened by Thursday.

The hotel will have 71 bedrooms (it previously had 100 bedrooms) a bar, restaurant, function and meeting rooms.

It’s the first of two hotels in town set to reopen in the coming months, with Der O’Sullivan’s new venture in Benner’s Hotel on Castle Street also expected to open in the near future.

It’s welcome news on the jobs front for Tralee.
