A CAMP woman is celebrating after scooping over €15,000 on ‘The Million Euro Challenge’ game show over the weekend.
Geraldine O’Driscoll, from Knockglassbeg, Camp, had the two scratch cards purchased her by her husband Patrick. They were bought from Pats Store, Main Street, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan.
She was playing in a special Valentine’s Day edition of the show, hosted by Nicky Byrne, on Saturday night where she was joined by her guest support in sports commentator Marty Morrissey.
Geraldine, who has three children (Christina, Denis and Patrick), works with the HSE as a health care assistant in St. Patrick’s Day Care Centre in Tralee and is originally from Cavan.
She is planning on taking a holiday to celebrate and has expressed a desire to visit Nashville, Tennessee.
While she is sticking to the claim that she does not have a lucky streak, she does acknowledge that since the passing of her mother two years ago, things have been falling into place and after this big win, she might just be right!
The game show, which has proven controversial since its inception, gave up prizes totalling €70,000 in its sixth episode to date.
