For the pleasure of running 42 bone-crunching kilometres, Fergal Dooley and John Moriarty, are raising money for the Irish heart disease and stroke charity ‘Croí’.
Around 300,000 people worldwide apply to enter the Virgin London Marathon which takes place on Sunday, April 24.

This being the first time they applied, Fergal and John can count themselves lucky they were successful when the ballots were announced.
“We were lucky to get in, now all we have to do is run it!” said Fergal.
The lads will be part of a group of 250 running for ‘Croí’. All funds gathered will stay in Ireland.
To raise money for ‘Croí’, there will be a race night held in Sean Og’s on Monday, February 29.

If you can’t make it on the night, horses will be sold in advance and any donations will be kindly accepted at the bar in Sean Og’s.
