Oktoberfest Beag Is Back in Kerry For Two Nights

AFTER the massive sell-out success that was the Oktoberfest Beag in Tralee during the Rose Festival in August, the organisers are bringing it back to Kerry for two nights in November.

Oktoberfest Killarney will be an occasion for folk to embrace their inner German and experience a superb evening to remember at Oktoberfest Beag in the INEC on Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10.

Oktoberfest Killarney will put its own special spin on Munich’s world famous festival.

Over 4000 visitors will experience the INEC transformed into a mini Bavaria, complete with biergartens, huge beer hall serving a range of Oktoberfest style beers and delicious Bavarian cuisine including traditional bratwursts, freshly-baked pretzels, gingerbread hearts and much more.

The festival will host a range of authentic Oompah Brass Bands who will entertain the masses with their toe-tapping, thigh-slapping, oompah entertainment, while traditionally dressed Frauleins and lads in Lederhosen will serve the finest Bavarian festive beers and food.

INEC Director of Corporate and Leisure event, Mark Egan says they are really delighted to welcome the Oktoberfest Beag event to Killarney. He said; “We are very excited to be able to include two nights of Bavarian festivities as part of our Autumn programme. Excitement is already building for this expected sell-out event”.

For added entertainment they will also be showing, on huge screens, the rugby autumn international test match Ireland V Argentina.

Tickets and table reservations are on sale now for Oktoberfest Killarney which will take place at the INEC on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th November.

Doors open at 5pm till late. This is a ticketed event which is strictly Over 18’s. Ticket holders will get to enjoy a complimentary drink on entry before 7pm.

Get Your Lederhosens Ready For Tralee’s ‘Oktoberfest’

‘OKTOBERFEST’ is coming to the Rose Of Tralee Festival Dome with Oompah Brass Bands, biers, bratwursts and banter on Saturday, August 18 from 7.30pm to 2am.

It will bring the best of German traditions and culture to the Festival and the organisers are hoping people dress up in Oktoberfest outfits and enjoy the festivities even more.

There are Communal Table Reservations for up to 8 people per table and there’s table service provided throughout by the friendly staff dressed in traditional Bavarian costumes – Lederhosen or Dirndl’s.

The Biergarten transports you to Munich with authentic wooden tables and benches on the grass, garden and water features, plus the sounds, smells and atmosphere of a real German folk festival.

The caterers will be offering a selection of simple Bavarian snacks – all foods are typical German folk festival fare like Bratwursts, Pretzels and much more.

There’ll be a selection of specially brewed Oktoberfest beers, a choice of wines, sparkling wines, gluten free beers, minerals and much more on offer.

Oktoberfest Oompah bands are the big attraction and they have flown in from Munich and beyond to keep guests thoroughly entertained for this special night. There will be a host of other German-style entertainers, DJ’s and activities.

Organisers expect the event to sell out fast. Individual entry costs €13 (including a complimentary drink for entry before 9pm). Tables of eight cost €140 (with a complimentary drink for each person before 9pm). For all details click here
