THREE Tralee musicians appeared on a TG4 talent show this week and received great praise from the judges.
The Rhythm Method featuring John Buggy, Shane Murphy and John Moriarty were taking part in Busker Abú and got as far as the quarter-final of the competition thanks to some impassioned performances (see link to video below) in an episode screened on Sunday night and repeated on TG4 on Friday.

The idea of the show is that the top busking acts in Ireland compete head to head for the title of Ireland’s Top Busker.
Thousands applied and after nationwide auditions 80 were selected to go through to the series.
However, the Tralee boys failed to reach the semi-final despite a great performance of Alabama 3’s ‘Woke Up This Morning’ and lost out to a duo, Therese and Joey.
The judges were split with musician Aindrias De Staic going for the Tralee lads while TV presenter Síle Seoige and Fiachna Ó Braonáin of the Hothouse Flowers both went for the other act.
Never mind lads, ye did great.
