A LISTOWEL woman took home €21,000 after appearing on the National Lottery’s The Million Euro Challenge game show on RTE.
Maureen Kelly was appearing on the 15th episode of the new show which is hosted by Nicky Byrne and which was aired last Saturday April 18.
Maureen said she wasn’t sure how she would be spending her significant winnings but that there would definitely be a party held to celebrate when she got home.

She went on the game show with her daughter Jennifer even though they both claim to have terrible luck!
Maureen is married to her farmer husband James Scannell, Jennifer, an only child, lives with her husband, Shane, on the farm.
Maureen looks after the animals on the farm, does a yogalates class every week and is interested in healthy living.
A CAMP woman is celebrating after scooping over €15,000 on ‘The Million Euro Challenge’ game show over the weekend.
Geraldine O’Driscoll, from Knockglassbeg, Camp, had the two scratch cards purchased her by her husband Patrick. They were bought from Pats Store, Main Street, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan.
She was playing in a special Valentine’s Day edition of the show, hosted by Nicky Byrne, on Saturday night where she was joined by her guest support in sports commentator Marty Morrissey.
Geraldine, who has three children (Christina, Denis and Patrick), works with the HSE as a health care assistant in St. Patrick’s Day Care Centre in Tralee and is originally from Cavan.
She is planning on taking a holiday to celebrate and has expressed a desire to visit Nashville, Tennessee.
While she is sticking to the claim that she does not have a lucky streak, she does acknowledge that since the passing of her mother two years ago, things have been falling into place and after this big win, she might just be right!
The game show, which has proven controversial since its inception, gave up prizes totalling €70,000 in its sixth episode to date.
