Rock And Blues Bikers Festival Takes Place In Tralee This Month

THE Gin Palace Bar Stewards will once again host the Tralee Rock and Blues Bikers Festival over three days next week.

The 10th edition of the festival organised by the motorcycle charity group, it will take place at The Grand Hotel from Friday, November 10 to Sunday, November 12.

“We run different charity events throughout the year. This year will be our 10th rock and blues festival in Tralee and our second year in the Grand Hotel,” said David Foley of The Gin Palace Bar Stewards.

“We will have two bands and a DJ on Friday and Saturday night with lots of spot prizes, while on Sunday there will be a jam session to finish off the festival with all proceeds will going to to the KSPCA Tralee,” said David.

THE Meadowlands Hotel was rocking on Friday night as the 6th annual Tralee Rock, Blues & Motorcycle Festival kicked off with some great music.

Held in aid of Kerry S.P.C.A. , the event is run by the Gin Palace Bar-Stewards and it was just the beginning of some great entertainment over the weekend.

In the Black, Mario Mannering and band and the Inglorious Bar-Stewards provided the music last night, while the entertainment continues this evening with Pa Barry at 7:00pm followed by Martin Cummins, Mudcat Blues Band and then the headline band for the festival, Chapter 2.

There will be a major raffle, party games and presentation of trophies and prizes throughout the evening.

Sunday will see a more relaxed pace with an early Blues session in Johnny Frank’s Bar to end the festival. If you like rock and blues it’s the place to be this weekend. Scroll down for photos…

Rock, Blues And Motorcycle Festival Returns To Meadowlands

MEADOWLANDS Hotel is once again the venue for the 5th Annual Tralee Rock, Blues & Motorcycle Festival on November 9th-11th in aid of Kerry S.P.C.A.

Run by the Gin Palace Bar-Stewards who have organised an exciting line up of entertainment over the weekend, the Festival kicks off on Friday at 8:00pm with Rock DJ David Foley followed by “The Tomcats” Blues band at 9:00pm. The headline for the evening is the Inglorious Bar-Stewards.

On Saturday afternoon there will be a ride out from the hotel followed by a bike show with trophies and prizes.

Stalls and shops will be open throughout the day.  The evening kicks off with Mario Mannering at 7pm followed by Jamie Stanton and his Band before Chapter 2, headlining the festival.

The organisation is completely run by volunteers and relies heavily on public donations and fundraising to assist in the prevention of cruelty to animals.

MEADOWLANDS Hotel is hosting the third Annual Tralee Rock, Blues and Motorcycle Festival on from Friday to Sunday this weekend in aid of Kerry S.P.C.A.

The Gin Palace Bar Stewards have organised an exciting line up of entertainment as the Festival kicks off at 7pm Friday evening with a Gin Cocktail sponsored by Dingle Distillery followed by a line-up of top rock and blues musicians and bands; Chapter 2, “The Real Deal” Rock Band, Martin Cummins “The Stone Cold Hobo” solo gig, and Midnight Special.

On Saturday, there is something for everyone with free family events including photo opportunities, face painting, exhibitions and stands.  There will be an acoustic blues jam session in Johnny Frank’s Bar throughout the day.

Saturday evening’s Rock and Blues line-up includes David King, Paddy Goodwin, The Stone Cold Hobos, The Jamie Stanton and Roadkill Revival, and Inglorious Bar Stewards.  All musicians are playing for Kerry S.P.C.A as well as lights and sound sponsored by Alan Johnson Sound.

On Sunday, there will be a slow bike race and chill session with rock DJ Dave Foley to end the festival.

Kerry S.P.C.A. is a 24 hour, 365 day a year service providing shelter to neglected and injured animals.  The organisation is completely run by volunteers and relies heavily on public donations and fundraising to assist in the prevention of cruelty to animals.

K.S.P.C.A. has been on the go since 1960 and in that time thousands of animals and birds have been rescued and each with its own story.   The festival will raise badly needed money to keep K.S.P.C.A in operation and help with essential kennel and cattery upgrades.

Advance tickets are now available from the Meadowlands Hotel and a limited number available on the night.  Raffles and spot prizes are organized throughout the weekend.

Tralee Rock, Blues And Motorcycle Festival Launch This Friday

Screen Shot 2016-09-22 at 16.20.54THE third annual Tralee Rock, Blues & Motorcycle Festival will be launched at the Meadowlands Hotel this Friday night.

Organised by the Gin Palace Bar Stewards Motorcycle Club, this chilled out night of blues will be a warm-up to the main event, which takes place from November 11-13 in the hotel.

Entry to the event on Friday is a donation to Kerry Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (KSPCA)  and music comes from Rock & Blues DJ David Foley.

At the festival in November, Rock and Blues bands such as Chapter 2, ‘The Real Deal’ Rock Band, Martin Cummins, The Stone Cold Hobos Blues Band, The Inglourious Bar-Stewards, David King, and more will take to the stage on the Friday and Saturday nights.

There is also family events and exhibitions planned during Saturday daytime,  along with spot prizes, drinks promotions, raffles and more during the nights. Weekend ticket is €20, or €10 for Friday night and €15 for Saturday. All profits from the event goes to the KSPCA.
