A NEW book about all things concerning vegetables was launched at  Crói Restaurant on  Princes Street last night.

Noel Keane from Croí along with the Tralee Culinary Gangsters have compiled the book after the success of last year’s Vegtopia Festival which saw a range of sold-out events in town last July.

Ahead of this year’s Vegtopia on Saturday, July 13, the book, also called Vegtopia contains recipes, tips and more as Noel explained.

“It’s about how to cook vegetable dishes, recipes, tips for foraging, wildflowers etc. Many of the people involved in last year’s festival had input into the book. There’s seasonality within the book, based on Irish vegetables so there’s lots of nice simple ideas from salads to main courses,” said Noel.

Vegtopia, a celebration of vegan, vegetarian and dairy friendly products, will this year feature a range of events in Croí and Grá Restaurants, HQ2 and Manna Organic Shop. For more on this see their facebook page by clicking here
