THE 19 year old young man in a critical condition after a fall from a third-floor balcony in Galway, is from the Tralee area.
The accident happened at the Dun na Coiribe apartment complex – mainly populated by students – on the Headford Road in Galway city late on Wednesday night.
The 19-year-old, who is a first year student at NUI Galway, apparently fell from the balcony in a freak accident at about 11pm and no foul play is suspected.
He sustained severe injuries and was initially brought to University Hospital Galway and has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
