€5,000 was raised for Debra Ireland at the Captains Charity Day.

TWO  hundred Golfers from all around the country descended on a sun drenched Barrow last Saturday to take part in the Tralee Golf Club Captains Charity Day.

Captains Martin Mitchell and Kathleen Finnegan selected four most worthy charities – Banna Rescue, Debra Ireland, Down Syndrome Kerry and Recovery Haven Kerry – to be the beneficiaries of this year’s event, which raised both funds and awareness of their work.

The event was kindly sponsored by Garveys Supervalu Tralee, and General Manager Kevin McCarthy was warmly thanked for their support not only today, but of all the voluntary, community and supporting events they assist throughout the year.
