TLI Group presented a cheque to Pieta House on Monday morning, the proceeds of a recent fundraiser by staff.

Headquartered near Abbeydorney and employing over 720 staff across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK, the company made the most of the recent level 5 restrictions by engaging their staff to undertake a virtual walking challenge and raise vital funds along the way.

The Smart Metering division within TLI Group commenced a Virtual Walking Challenge, an initiative to generate positivity during the level 5 restrictions.

This was a fun way to stay connected with colleagues while boosting fitness, and in turn contributing to an overall improvement in staff wellbeing.

The chosen charities to benefit were Pieta House, Cork Penny Dinners and Limerick Suicide Watch.

The Cork and Limerick charities were selected as the Smart Metering team have been installing electricity meters on behalf of ESB Networks in those two regions.

The past year has been difficult for all charities and TLI Group were delighted to assist them, by undertaking this virtual challenge.

During quarter 1 of 2021, the group walked over 5,000 km’s and raised €2,278, which TLI Group kindly matched, giving a grand total of €4,556.
