TRALEETODAY.IE has partnered with Dillon Waste & Recycling to give away 500 copies of ‘My Brilliant Life eBook’ to Tralee children aged 10-15.
‘My Brilliant Life eBook’ is a publication from Tralee based not-for-profit Learn from Leaders.
The ebook teaches children six qualities of everyday Irish leaders with stories and insights from 22 inspiring leaders including Kieran Donaghy and teenager Donal Walsh, whose legacy continues to inspire.
The ebook has dedicated chapters for; Grit, Curiosity, Kindness, Confidence, Collaboration and Communication with 70 activities and exercises for the children to work on.
“This is a really challenging time for everyone in the community and it’s important we inspire children with stories and insights from the everyday leaders in Irish society making really positive changes. We’re delighted to sponsor this initiative,” said Garret Dillion from Dillon Waste.
Learn from Leaders was set up by Brian Stephenson and the ebook was written by Vanetia Prendeville, both Tralee natives.
“We are over exposed to negative leadership in the print and online media, so we set up Learn from Leaders to foster and promote compassionate leadership and there are some fantastic examples in the ebook. As part of our research we interviewed 180 leaders across Irish society over a period of two years. This ebook aims to celebrate the everyday leaders in Irish society, like our frontline heroes, and educate children about the qualities of those leaders,” said Brian Stephenson.
