Winter Swimming

The very popular series of Winter Swimming in Fenit resumed last Sunday and we were greeted with brilliant sunshine.

Eight swimmers took to the freezing water, which was measured at 5.2c. Everyone managed an enjoyable swim with the sun shining off of the snow capped mountains making a beautiful backdrop. As usual there was plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and buns for everyone to warm up with afterwards.

The winter swimming will continue every Sunday from now on at 11am. Everyone is welcome and its a great way to start a Sunday and take in all of the health benefits associated with cold water swimming . We will be introducing a few small races from next week on to keep it interesting!

But remember it’s all about enjoying it and you only do what you feel like , so come and join us !
