TRALEE Chamber Alliance (TCA) CEO, Kieran Ruttledge, is reverting to his full-time job as Chief Executive of the Aquadome at the start of February, coinciding with the decision to restructure TCA.

This was announced today by the Chairman of the Aquadome, Denis Reen. Originally seconded to the Chamber Alliance for a period of two years in order to get the new organisation up and running, he has now served almost six years.

“His focus is now needed back at the Aquadome in order to plan its future. The timing of the move is seen as opportune as the Chamber is planning a restructuring with the injection of new blood,” said Denis Reen.

“We wish the Chamber well with its restructuring and assure them of our full support into the future. Tralee needs a strong and vibrant Chamber and now is the time for the next generation to step forward and lead us forward,” concluded Mr Reen.

Tralee Chamber Alliance President, Aidan Kelly, paid tribute to Mr Ruttledge in a statement issued this afternoon.

“On behalf of the Board, members and staff of Tralee Chamber Alliance, I wish to thank Kieran Ruttledge for his dedication and commitment to the town of Tralee during his time as CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance. We owe an immense debt of gratitude to the board of Aqua Dome Tralee for seconding Kieran to the role of Tralee Chamber Alliance CEO for the past six years – four more than had been originally been intended.

“There have been many high points during Kieran’s tenure as CEO including the recent successes in winning the Most Enterprising Town Awards, securing Purple Flag Status for Tralee, winning the title of Ireland’s Best Large Tourism Town in 2015 and being a finalist in that competition in 2013. He has worked tirelessly to deliver on the mission of Tralee Chamber Alliance to make Tralee Ireland’s premier town in which to live, work and to visit.

Kieran’s departure as CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance after the 31st January 2018 coincides with the recent decision to restructure the organisation. Tralee needs a strong and vibrant Chamber and now is the time for the next generation to step forward and lead us forward.

We are confident that, in his role as CEO of the Aqua Dome, one of Kerry’s most important tourist attractions, Kieran will always foster pride and be a prominent leader of growth in Tralee.”
