THE organisers of the Tralee Food Festival have expressed their delight and gratitude after a weekend which saw more events and bigger crowds than last year.

The weather was fine and dry for Saturday and so good on Sunday that organisers held back on the strip down of areas to allow people soak up the sunshine and enjoy the atmosphere late into the evening.

The addition of Sound-Bite, the new entertainment area located in the Abbey Car Park proved to be a roaring success with local musicians given a platform to perform and entertain the crowds from the opening on Friday right through to Sunday adding a buzzing vibe to the festival.
